Sixth Phase Of Lok Sabha Elections 2024: Voting Begins In 58 Seats Across Eights States, UTs - All About It

The polling for 58 seats in the sixth phase of Lok Sabha elections 2024 is underway across eight states and Union Territories.
The 58 Parliamentary constituencies where voting is underway in the penultimate phase of Lok Sabha elections include 14 seats in Uttar Pradesh, 10 in Haryana, eight each in West Bengal and Bihar, seven in Delhi, six in Odisha, four in Jharkhand and one in Jammu and Kashmir.
Additionally, polling for 42 Assembly constituencies for the Odisha State Legislative Assembly is also taking place simultaneously.
According to the Election Commission of India (ECI), over 880 candidates are in the fray in this phase of the Lok Sabha elections.
Over 11.13 crore voters, including 5.84 crore males and 5.29 crore females, are eligible to vote across 1.14 lakh polling stations in the third phase of the elections.
Several key candidates are contesting in the sixth phase, including former Haryana chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar, former J&K CM Mehbooba Mufti, ex-JNU president and Congress leader Kanhaiya Kumar, Bhojpuri actor and singer Manoj Tiwari, BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra, party leader Maneka Gandhi and Naveen Jindal, industrialist and former Union Minister who recently joined BJP, and Congress leader and actor Raj Babbar.
