In July 2021, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the Hindustan Urvarak & Rasayan Limited (HURL) workshop in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh.
Minister of Chemicals and Fertilisers D V Sadananda Gowda and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will inspect the factory premises on 4 March (Thursday).
HURL was incorporated in 2016.
"It is a joint venture company by Coal India Limited (CIL), NTPC Limited (NTPC) and Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) as the lead promoters with Fertilizer Corporation of India Limited (FCIL) and Hindustan Fertilizer Corporation Limited (HFCL) as other two partners," its website says.
Officials recently inspected the premises and directed the teams to expedite all related work for completion before July.
Some related projects in areas such as machinery, railway track, gas pipeline were inspected.
Reportedly, work in some areas got delayed due to the lockdown in 2020.
A note on the website adds: "The prime objective of HURL is to establish and operate state of the art environment friendly and energy efficient Natural Gas based new Fertilizer Complexes (Ammonia-Urea) of 2200 MTPD Ammonia and 3850 MTPD Urea (1.27 MMTPA neem coated urea) and market their products, thus spurring economic growth in the eastern India."
The visit and inspection conducted by Gowda and Adityanath will lead to the decision on the date of 'lokaarpan' by Modi in July.
