The Centre has approved over Rs 1,500 crore for four-laning of Bareilly-Budaun section of National Highway 530B in Uttar Pradesh.
In a post on X, Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari said, "Four-laning of Bareilly-Budaun section of National Highway-530B (Package-4) in Uttar Pradesh has been approved at a cost of Rs 1,527 crore".
This project will facilitate the movement of passengers between Bareilly and Badaun and reduce the travel time between these two cities, the minister said.
Apart from this, the project will increase connectivity between Bareilly and the holy city of Mathura and will promote economic growth and sustainable development of the entire region, he added.
