Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is reported to be preparing for another visit to Mumbai in connection with his work towards the proposed film city in the state. Procedures towards hiring a consultant for the project have reportedly begun.
Adityanath's visits to Mumbai did not go down well with his opponents, and opponents of the current Uttar Pradesh government led by him.
Yet, Adityanath is taking further steps in order to strengthen communication with Bollywood personalities, including directors, producers and artistes.
During Adityanath's trip to Mumbai, Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut was quoted as saying: “Earlier, attempts were made. It is difficult to replicate Mumbai’s film industry elsewhere. Mumbai has a glorious film history and past.”
After Adityanath's announcement for the film city in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, he met actors and artistes from Bollywood in Lucknow. This was followed by his trip to Mumbai.
The appointment of the consultant is reportedly in process. The consultant will help in preparing a project report. This will include suggestions from Bollywood personalities, which will then be presented to them by the state government in Mumbai.
