Netizens reacted to Bollywood actress Shraddha Kapoor adding a brand-new Lamborghini Huracan Tecnica supercar to her collection with fury due to her protest against cutting of trees at Mumbai’s Aarey Colony for a metro car shed.
Some people called her "Indian version of Greta" Thunberg calling out her hypocrisy as the mileage of the recently bought Rs 4.1 crore (ex-showroom) worth car is 7.1 kmpl as per Carwale which will lead to higher CO2 emissions.
Notably, Shraddha Kapoor already has an impressive lineup of luxury cars including the Audi Q7, Mercedes-Benz ML, Mercedes-Benz GLA, BMW 7 series, Toyota Fortuner, Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Swift, and more.
In 2019, she had argued against cutting of trees and wrote on Instagram, “This is wrong and should not be happening” and “Mumbaikars wake up”.
However, now, the Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation Limited (MMRCL) is gearing up to start a trial run of the first phase of Metro Line 3 between Aarey and Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC) in November.
The development of the car shed at Aarey faced lengthy disputes, causing delays, before it was eventually authorised to resume.

The 2024 elections might seem easy to guess, but there are some important questions that shouldn't be missed.
Do freebies still sway voters? Do people prioritise infrastructure when voting? How will Punjab vote?
The answers to these questions provide great insights into where we, as a country, are headed in the years to come.
Swarajya is starting a project with an aim to do 50 solid ground stories and a smart commentary service on WhatsApp, a one-of-a-kind. We'd love your support during this election season.
