The Enforcement Directorate claimed on Friday (3 November) that Chhattisgarh chief minister Bhupesh Baghel received Rs 508 crore from the promoters of the Mahadev betting app, Hindustan Times reported.
This revelation can be a political game-changer for a state that is going to polls in two phases on 7 and 17 November. Congress was expecting Baghel to help it in retaining power.
This comes a day after ED conducted search operations yesterday in Chhatisgarh against the money laundering networks linked with Mahadev Book Online Betting App, in which Cash of Rs 5.39 crore and a bank balance Rs 15.59 crore was intercepted and frozen or seized.
