Hindu Munnani Has Always Stepped Up

Dear Readers,

Tensions are high in Tamil Nadu's Tiruparankundram as Hindus worry about the soiling of Lord Muruga's sacred hill due to the animal sacrifices.

While political parties stayed silent, Hindu Munnani stepped up.

Nothing new though. For decades, Munnani — an organisation formed by the RSS in 1980 — has led the charge to protect Dharma in the state against Dravidian assault.

They've fought against conversions, radical Islamist threats, interference in temples, and attacks on Hindu unity.

The untold story of these Dharmic warriors on the street deserves your attention.

Here's a must read by my colleague Rajesh — Street Fighters For Dharma: How Hindu Munnani Shaped Tamil Nadu’s Hindutva Politics.

This weekend, social media was abuzz with videos of Vande Bharat Express passing through the Chenab Bridge, the world’s highest rail bridge, on its first-ever trial run from Delhi to Kashmir.

Did you know?

  • The Chenab Bridge, inaugurated about two years ago, is a whopping 359 meters above the river—that's like stacking up two Statue of Unity.

  • The bridge is designed to withstand winds of up to 260 kilometres (km) per hour and is expected to have a shelf life of around 120 years. It has a 20.15 km-long approach road and is earthquake-resistant.

This T-shirt comes in two great colours: Blue and Black and is available directly on Swarajya Store. Check it out.
