Senior Congress leader Sonia Gandhi is scheduled to attend the upcoming meeting of the I.N.D.I.A bloc in Mumbai, according to Nana Patole, the president of the Congress party's Maharashtra unit.
The gathering will also witness the unveiling of the opposition grouping's logo.
Leaders from over two dozen parties belonging to the anti-Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) bloc will convene at a luxury hotel in suburban Mumbai on 31 August and 1 September.
This will mark their third meeting since joining forces on a common platform in Patna, back in June.
During a press conference, Nana Patole confirmed Sonia Gandhi's participation in the I.N.D.I.A alliance meet in Mumbai.
He further stated that the alliance's official logo will be revealed at the gathering, where opposition leaders will discuss their agenda leading up to the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
The formation of this alliance aims to challenge the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance in the upcoming 2024 parliamentary polls.
