Prime Minister Narendra Modi today attacked the Samajwadi Party whilst addressing an election rally for 10 assembly constituencies of Kanpur, Kanpur Dehat and Jalaun districts. He said that Samajwadi Party's family members distributed areas amongst themselves for 'loot' during their rule in the state.
PM Modi also derided the TMC for saying that it is fighting elections in Goa to 'divide' Hindu votes.
Taking a swipe at SP, PM Modi asked the people whether they would like to vote for a party which would create 'mafia ganj' in every district of the state.
The prime minister also spoke about triple talaq. He said that the law against triple talaq has saved thousands of Muslim women in Uttar Pradesh.

Introducing ElectionsHQ + 50 Ground Reports Project
The 2024 elections might seem easy to guess, but there are some important questions that shouldn't be missed.
Do freebies still sway voters? Do people prioritise infrastructure when voting? How will Punjab vote?
The answers to these questions provide great insights into where we, as a country, are headed in the years to come.
Swarajya is starting a project with an aim to do 50 solid ground stories and a smart commentary service on WhatsApp, a one-of-a-kind. We'd love your support during this election season.
