Fans of actor Vijay have been accused of unruly behaviour and damaging seats of the Rohini Silver Screens theatre in Chennai during a screening of the trailer of his upcoming movie 'Leo'.
According to a report by IndiaToday, hundreds of Vijay's fans had gathered outside the theatre and they rushed in as soon as the gates opened. The damage was discovered after the end of the screening.
The owners of the theatre had earlier planned an outdoor screening of the trailer in the parking area but were denied permission for the same. The screening was then held indoors with police protection.
The incident comes days after AR Rahman was criticised for his insensitive apology after mismanagement at his concert in Chennai.
