Kambala is now receiving plenty of attention in the news and social media. After the Usain Bolt reference was made in relation to the astounding speed clocked by a Kambala runner, suddenly Kambala has ceased to be a punching bag. This is hypocrisy.
The fact is, our culture has carried Kambala on its shoulders from the beginning, but the system has always looked the other way. Maybe this needs to change now.
