As Russia strikes Ukraine's western region, India has decided to temporarily relocate its Ukrainian embassy to Poland. The primary reason behind this decision is the rapidly deteriorating security and humanitarian situation in the war-torn nation.
The decision comes amidst increasing Russian attacks on Kyiv, the Ukrainian capital and several other prominent cities.
The Ministry of External Affairs said that "In view of the rapidly deteriorating security situation in Ukraine, including attacks in the western parts of the country, it has been decided that the Indian Embassy in Ukraine will be temporarily relocated to Poland".
"The situation will be reassessed in the light of further developments," the brief statement added.

The 2024 elections might seem easy to guess, but there are some important questions that shouldn't be missed.
Do freebies still sway voters? Do people prioritise infrastructure when voting? How will Punjab vote?
The answers to these questions provide great insights into where we, as a country, are headed in the years to come.
Swarajya is starting a project with an aim to do 50 solid ground stories and a smart commentary service on WhatsApp, a one-of-a-kind. We'd love your support during this election season.
