Activist Teesta Setalvad who has been embroiled in various controversies including misappropriation of funds has been accused tutoring Shaheen Bagh protesters over how to deal with Supreme Court appointed interlocutors.
As per a report by Times Now, a video has emerged which showed Setalvad visiting the Shaheen Bagh protest site and then coaching the Shaheen Bagh protesters. In the video Setalvad can reportedly be heard making statements like, “When you are asked something, then you say these counter questions”.
A copy of the video was also tweeted by BJP’s IT cell head Amit Malviya who accused Setalvad of tutoring the protesters.
In the video Setalvad can be heard backing the speaker over the issues of traffic woes for the common public and asking the protesters whether the questions are okay. She later also explained the meaning of one question.
The interlocutors Sanjay Hegde, Sadhana Ramachandran and former chief information commissioner Wajahat Habibullah are expected to meet the protesters today.
