In a significant show of strength, the Prime Minister also took out a mega roadshow in Varanasi yesterday evening (25 April).

The seven-kilometre-long roadshow which passed by ancient temples and ghats of the city took two-and-a-half hours and finally ended in the holiest ghat of them all, the Dashashwamedh. Along the way, he was swarmed by a sea of supporters.

Around six lakh people are estimated to have joined the Prime Minister in the roadshow and were heard chanting Har Har Mahadev and pro-Modi slogans.
