Akhilesh Yadav Rakes Up His Engineering Background To Defend The Now Defunct Alliance With BSP

Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav raked up his engineering background in a bid to defend his decision to ally with the BSP, Zee News has reported.
Akhilesh has claimed that him being an Engineer, the alliance with BSP was designed as an experiment and it is not necessary that it ends up being a success. He added that he would discuss the matter with his associates to chart out a future road-map for his party.
This statement comes just days after Mayawati temporarily pulled the plug on the alliance by claiming that the two parties would only re-partner if Akhilesh’s political work succeeds in the future.
In her statement Mayawati raised questions on Akhilesh Yadav’s “political work” and claimed that if it succeeds in the future, she would be open to re-forge the alliance otherwise the two parties would gladly go solo.
Mayawati claimed that during the recently concluded Lok Sabha polls, the Yadavs (considered to be a strong base for the Samajwadi Party) did not support it and as a result many senior SP leaders lost the polls.
One of the most high profile defeats was suffered by Dimple Yadav the wife of Akhilesh Yadav who lost to BJP’s Subrat Pathak in Kannauj.
