The Supreme Court has announced that it will hear the Ram Temple case on 26 February after Justice Bobde who is part of the five member constitutional bench returned from leave.
The matter will be heard by a bench headed by Chief Justice of India Rajnan Gogoi along with Justices D Y Chandrachud, Ashok Bhushan, Justice S Abdul Nazeer and S A Bobde. Hearing will begin hearing the case from 10.30 am, Hindustan Times has reported.
It was earlier reported that the hearing in the matter was postponed from 29 January due to the unavailability of Justice S A Bobde.
The hearing in the case was earlier deferred on the account of setting up a new bench after Justice U U Lalit who was on the Constitution bench had recused himself from the case
Following this, a new bench was set up which replaced Justice NV Ramana, and Justice UU Lalit with Justices Ashok Bhushan and S Abdul Nazeer.
Prior to this, the case was deferred due to the Supreme Court deciding to constitute a new bench the hear the matter.
