President Droupadi Murmu attends Isha Foundation's Mahashivaratri Celebrations
President Droupadi Murmu has reached Coimbatore to take part in the Shivaratri programme organised by the Isha Foundation. Governor RN Ravi and Tamil Nadu's Minister for Information Technology, Mano Thangaraj are also attending the event.
She commenced her two-day visit to the state by having darshan at the Meenakshi Sundareswarar temple in Madurai, this afternoon (18 February).
While the Shivaratri celebrations at the Isha Foundation's campus is a night-long programme, President Murmu would leave after a few hours and stay at the Circuit House for the night.
The next morning (19 February), she would visit the Defence Services Staff College in Wellington (Nilgiris district), before she leaves for New Delhi.
