Prime Minister Narendra Modi today (18 February) said that that time for talks is over and hesitation to take action against terrorism and its supporters is similar to encouraging it, reports Times of India.
“World is now required to unitedly take concrete action against terrorism and those behind its spread. The cruel attack in Pulwama shows that the time for talks has passed,” said Modi.
Modi had said that dithering to take action against terrorism and their supporters is like supporting terrorism. After talks with Modi, Argentina President Mauricio Macri also called for united action against terrorism.
Earlier, the PM had condemned the attack on more than 40 CRPF jawans and had ensured that their sacrifice shall not go in vain. He had also said he had given the security forces a free hand to respond to the terror attacks.
Modi had said that the attackers had made a “big mistake” and those responsible would have to “pay a heavy price”.
Without mentioning Pakistan directly, Modi stated, “If our neighbour, which is totally isolated in the world and thinks it can destabilise India through its tactics and conspiracies, then it is making a huge mistake.”
