‘Comedian’ Kunal Kamra (Facebook)
Controversial comedian Kunal Kamra on Tuesday (28 January) posted a video of him targeting journalist Arnab Goswami on board an IndiGo flight.
In the video Kamra can be heard repeatedly calling Arnab Goswami a coward while claiming to ask him questions about his journalism.
In a possible bid to provoke Arnab, Kamra in a patronising tosaid, “Viewers today want to know if Arnab is a coward or a nationalist...Arnab you should have a reply...are you a coward or a journalist, who are you”.
“As I expected your cowardice has got the better of you, you do not deserve my politeness”, added Kamra.
During the course of Kamra’s rant, Arnab can be seen patiently working on his laptop with his earphones on.
After Kamra failed to elicit any response from Arnab, he claimed that this act of his is dedicated to Rohith Vemula’s mother.
Kamra also proceeded to use an expletive in his rant and after being possibly warned by a cabin crew member he declared that he was ready to go to jail for it.
After Kamra posted his video, many twitter users slammed his act and questioned as to why the airline did not stop him from confronting Arnab. Many also demanded that he be placed on no-flying list of the airline for jeopardising the safety of passengers.
It may be recalled that Kamra in the past was slammed for spreading morphed pictures of Bombay stock exchange and one of his shows was cancelled in Gujarat over the reported presence of anti-national content.
