The Indian Army on Saturday (15 August) shared a spectacular video of its troops celebrating the Independence Day on a snow capped mountain in Jammu and Kashmir's Gurez sector along the Line of Control (LoC) with Pakistan.
The video provides a spectacular panoramic birds eye view of Indian Army soldiers saluting the tricolour as the national anthem plays in the background. One can also see scores of mountains in the distance as the camera pans around.
The Indo-Tibetian Border Police (IRBP) too released a video today morning of its troops celebrating the Independence Day at the Pangong Tso lake in Eastern Ladakh.
This celebration by the ITBP jawans comes at a time when India is locked in a border standoff with China at the lake after the latter's unprovoked aggression.
The Chinese army is reportedly yet to disengage from the region and India has made it clear that it will not move back until China disengages from the site.
