Promising retaliation against the dastardly Naxal attack in Gadchiroli on Wednesday (1 May), Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has vowed to kill 100 Naxals in return, reports India Today.

Paying homage to the martyrs, Yogi said that the sacrifice of men in uniform won’t go in vain. “Our 15 jawans sacrificed their lives but in return we will kill at least 100 Naxals. This is a battle of the entire country and 130 crore countrymen are with our brave jawans’.

At least 16 persons, including 15 from the Quick Response Team of Gadchiroli Police in Maharashtra were killed in an IED explosion carried out by Naxals.

The team of security forces was on it’s way to inspect the an incident where 25 vehicles belonging to a road construction contractor were torched by the left-wing terrorists, earlier on the fateful day.

Ahead of the Lok Sabha polls, the Naxals had carried out a similar IED attack on the convoy of BJP MLA from Dantewada Bhima Mandavi who was killed along with five security personnel. The attack took place between the Kuakonda and Syamgiri area of Chhattisgarh’s tribal Dantewada region.
