Cyclone Michaung: AIADMK Asks DMK Govt To Release Whitepaper On Rs 4000 Crore Stormwater Drainage Works In Chennai

All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) general secretary Edappadi Palaniswami today (7 December) asked Chief Minister MK Stalin to release a white paper about the stormwater drainage works in Chennai.
According to a report by The Hindu, Palaniswami in his statement condemned the government stating that many roads remained waterlogged in spite of it being three days since the rains stopped. He also mentioned that there was a risk of infectious diseases spreading.
Regarding the supply of food and essentials, he stated that the state goverment must continue to do till normalcy is restored.
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) had also questioned the government over the effectiveness of the stormwater drainage works.
Areas in south Chennai such as Velachery, Pallikaranai, Madipakkam, Semmancherry, OMR etc are among the most affected with people suffering due to water stagnation, lack of power supply and food.
