Defence Minister Rajnath Singh To Visit Chennai To Survey Damage Caused By Cyclone Michaung

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh is set to arrive in Chennai this afternoon to take stock of the damage caused by Cyclone Michaung.
He will conduct an aerial survey of the areas affected by flooding and waterlogging and have a review meeting with the state government.
According to a report by India Today, he would be accompanied by Finance Minister Thangam Thennarasu and Chief Secretary Shiv Das Meena. Later he would meet Chief Minister MK Stalin and other officials at the Secretariat.
In his letter to the Prime Minister, Chief Minister Stalin had sought Rs 5060 crore as interim relief.
