Liquor sales banned up to 500 metres of National and State Highways
The Supreme Court has ordered a ban on sale of liquor within 500 metres of highways. This order will apply even to bars, pubs and restaurants serving liquor near highways.
Is this move by the Supreme Court a case of judicial overreach, or is it an extraneous circumstance which warrants the intervention of the judiciary?
