Hero MotoCorp, the largest motorcycle manufacturer in the world, recorded a 8 per cent growth in sales for the first three quarters of the 2022-23 fiscal year (April-December), selling over 40.58 lakh units compared to 37.55 lakh units in the same period of the previous fiscal year.
In a statement on Monday (2 January), the company said that it dispatched 394,179 units of motorcycles and scooters in the month of December 2022.
"The upcoming marriage and festive season in many parts of the country, and with the continuously improving consumer sentiment on account of favorable macro-economic indicators, the company expects a positive momentum to build up from the fourth quarter onwards," the statement said.
In December, Hero MotoCorp also launched the XPulse 200T 4Valve motorcycle at a price of Rs 1,25,726 (ex-showroom Mumbai). The XPulse 200T 4V features advanced technology, improved design and performance, and enhanced touring capabilities.
The company in the statement said that Hero MotoSports Team Rally, the motorsport team of Hero MotoCorp, unveiled its rider lineup for the Dakar Rally 2023 in December.
The team has a rider squad of four members – Franco Caimi, Joaquim Rodrigues, Ross Branch, and Sebastian Buhler who are all set to triumph in the 2023 edition of the Dakar Rally, that started from 31 December.
