Arunachal Pradesh: Seven Indian Army Personnel Struck By An Avalanche

Seven Indian Army personnel have been hit by an avalanche. The incident occurred in the high altitude Kameng sector of Arunachal Pradesh. Search and rescue operations are currently underway to trace them.
The Army personnel were part of a patrolling team. They were hit by the avalanche on Sunday.
'Search and rescue operations are currently underway. Specialised teams have been airlifted to assist in rescue operations,' said a source according to a PTI report.
'The area has been witnessing inclement weather with heavy snowfall since the last few days,' it said.
