Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) has shown its highest-ever revenue of Rs 26,500 crore, with a jump of 8 per cent from the previous year's revenue of Rs 24,620 crore, for FY 2022-23.

This jump is attributed to the recent orders that the HAL signed, which has expanded its order book to Rs 82,000 crore.

In the current year, HAL received orders worth Rs 26,000 crore for 70 HTT-40 Basic trainers for IAF and six Do-228 Aircraft.

HAL also received orders from ISRO to construct sub-assemblies for the Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV).

"Despite the challenges of supply chain disruptions due to geo-political situations, the company could achieve the targeted growth in the top line. This was possible with the increased thrust on indigenisation and with the available inventory," said HAL CMD, C B Ananthakrishnan.

The HAL CMD further said that the cash flow of the company has improved substantially with payments of around Rs 25,000 crore received from the various defence customers during FY 2022-23.
