  • The managing committee of Taloja Industries Association (TIA) recently held a meeting with Rajesh Patil, the joint managing director of City and Industrial Development Corporation (CIDCO).

During the meeting, they addressed several industrial matters, including the construction of two metro stations — station number 12 and 13 which lies within the Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) area in Taloja, Maharashtra, reports Free Press Journal.

TIA asserted that the establishment of the new stations could significantly enhance transportation connectivity for approximately 300,000 employees employed in the Taloja MIDC region.

The Navi Mumbai Metro Line-1 is proposed from Belapur to Pendhar which includes 11 stations.

Further, the MIDC stations are planned under Line-3 of the Navi Mumbai metro, which is set to connect Pendhar to MIDC Taloja.

CIDCO has already received the final permission to begin commercial operations on its Metro Line-1 project, ending the 12-year wait for the Navi Mumbai Metro.

On 21 June, the Commissioner of Metro Rail Safety (CMRS) issued the necessary certificate to CIDCO, for operations between Belapur and Central Park station on the stretch the of Navi Mumbai Metro Project.
