NCRTC will develop an eight-storey building in the Duhai Depot area for the local police and UPSSF personnel deployed for the security of passengers on the Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut RRTS corridor along with barracks.

A local Police station will also be built in the building.

The foundation stone of this building was laid by Ajay Mishra, Police Commissioner of Ghaziabad in the presence of Navneet Kaushik, Director/Systems and Operations, and other NCRTC officials on Tuesday.

The construction work of this building is targeted to be completed by June 2025.

Along with the local Police station, offices of ACP, DCP, and UPSSF will also be established in this building near Duhai Depot station.

Separate barracks will be built for 40 female staff and 210 male staff of UP Special Security Forces on the different floors of this building. A canteen and other facilities will also be provided as per the needs of the personnel living in the barracks.

The security arrangements of the stations of the priority section of RRTS and the Duhai depot are being taken care of by UP Special Security Forces personnel.

At present all the security personnel posted in RRTS, come from different places. After the construction of this building, all the personnel will be able to live in the barracks.

It is noteworthy that the primary section of RRTS has five stations, which include Sahibabad, Ghaziabad, Guldhar, Duhai, and Duhai Depot stations. The next section of the RRTS network from Duhai to Meerut South is also going to be operational very soon.
