Rajasthan To Get Three New Train Services Including Two Vande Bharat Express Trains On Jodhpur-Delhi, Bikaner-Delhi Routes

Rajasthan is set to get major train connectivity boost with launch of three new train services, including two new Vande Bharat express.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will flag off three trains, Vande Bharat Express Train between Bikaner and Delhi Cantt, Vande Bharat Express Train between Jodhpur and Delhi Cantt, and Udaipur City–Chandigarh Express.

These trains will significantly improve connectivity between Rajasthan and other northern states.

Jodhpur–Delhi Cantt Vande Bharat

he saffron-blue Jodhpur–Delhi Cantt Vande Bharat Express will commence regular service from 27 September, operating six days a week (except Wednesdays).

Train No. 26481 – Jodhpur to Delhi Cantt

• Departure: 05.25 am from Jodhpur

• Stop: Jaipur (arrival 09.25 am, departure 09.30 am)

• Arrival: 01.30 pm at Delhi Cantt

Train No. 26482 – Delhi Cantt to Jodhpur

• Departure: 03.10 pm from Delhi Cantt

• Stop: Jaipur (arrival 07.00 pm, departure 07.05 pm)

• Arrival: 11.20 pm at Jodhpur

Train Composition & Facilities

• Coaches: 8 (7 Chair Cars + 1 Executive Class)

• Capacity: 608 seats (52 in Executive Class, 44–78 in each Chair Car)

• Crew: 2 Ticket Examiners, 2 staff members, 1 guard

• Facilities: Free Wi-Fi, charging ports, bio-toilets, pantry car, and modern seating

Bikaner–Delhi Vande Bharat

A new Vande Bharat service will also be introduced between Bikaner and Delhi.

• Current Travel Time: Existing five trains take 7 to 11.5 hours

• Vande Bharat Advantage: Travel time will be reduced to about 6 hours 15 minutes

Udaipur–Chandigarh Superfast Express (Train Nos. 20989/20990)

The new Udaipur City–Chandigarh Superfast Express will start regular service from 27 September, operating twice a week.

Train No. 20989 – Udaipur City to Chandigarh

• Runs on: Thursdays and Saturdays

• Departure: 04.05 pm from Udaipur City

• Stop: Jaipur (arrival 11.00 pm, departure 11.10 pm)

• Arrival: 09.50 am next day at Chandigarh

Train No. 20990 – Chandigarh to Udaipur City

• Runs on: Fridays and Sundays (starting 28 September)

• Departure: 11.20 am from Chandigarh

• Stop: Jaipur (arrival 09.15 pm, departure 09.25 pm)

• Arrival: 05.25 am next day at Udaipur City

• Route Stops: Rana Pratap Nagar, Mavli, Kapasan, Chanderia, Bhilwara, Bijaynagar, Ajmer, Kishangarh, Phulera, Jaipur, Gandhinagar Jaipur, Dausa, Bandikui, Rajgarh, Alwar, Rewari, Jhajjar, Rohtak, Jind, Narwana, Kaithal, Kurukshetra, Ambala Cantt.

• Coach Composition: 22 coaches in total
