Adobe Of The Gods? Software Giant Named ‘Best Technology Firm’ To Work With In India, Says Report By Indeed

Adobe Inc. has been named as the best technology company to work for in India. The global software giant was followed by gaming tycoon NVIDIA and perennial software powerhouse Microsoft Corp, according to a report published on Tuesday (11 December) by search engine giant Indeed. The ‘Top-Rated Workplaces: Best in Tech’ report contains three companies which are US-based with two of them being led by Indian-American executives. Shantanu Narayan serves as the CEO of Adobe, while Satya Nadella is the CEO of Microsoft, reports The Financial Express.

The list continues to be dominated by multinational companies as rated by Indian employees on Indeed. Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) managed to buck the trend by being the highest ranked Indian company, while also being the only public sector firm on the list, coming in at number 10.

“The top five workplaces on the list are multinational corporations (MNCs) – a clear indication that Indian job seekers see greater scope for career advancement and work exposure in large international firms when it comes to the technology sector,” said the report.

The other companies in the top 10 list include the likes of Intel, Cisco, SAP, Akamai Technologies, VMware and Citrix Systems Inc. The other Indian companies in the top 15 list included Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) and e-commerce giant Myntra. Apple held the 13th position while HP was 11th on the list.

Organisations which focus more on people management, while providing a more conducive environment for their employees apart from strategic and meaningful workplace programmes, have been rated highly by employees and potential employees.

“Apart from competitive remuneration, companies that work to make their employees feel like they work with, and not for the company, create a culture of ownership and instill a sense of loyalty in their employees”, he added.
