Chief Minister of Kerala Pinarayi Vijayan has announced that his communist state government will not accept the Citizenship Amendment Bill (CAB), ANI has reported.

“Kerala will not accept Citizenship Amendment Bill. CAB is unconstitutional. The central government is trying to divide India on religious lines. This is a move to sabotage equality and secularism”, Vijayan was quoted as saying.

A couple of days ago West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee had declared that the would not allow the implementation of CAB and NRC as long as her party is in power. She also claimed that both CAB and NRC are both sides of the same coin.
