Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad on Tuesday (18 March) informed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be interacting on 31 March with those who have pledged to be part of the “Main Bhi Chowkidar”campaign, reports Indian Express.
Following the success of the campaign, the interaction will be held at 500 places across the country via video conference, Prasad said.
“Jubilant over the success of the ‘Main Bhi Chowkidar Hun’ campaign, PM Narendra Modi will interact with those pledged for it at 500 places across the country via video conference on 31 March,” Prasad was quoted in the report as saying.
He informed that the campaign had turned into a mass movement and became a global trend on social media for an entire day. “As many as 20 lakh people tweeted about it. It has been pledged by 1 crore people on social media and Namo app,” he said.
The Union Minister targeted those criticising the campaign and said, “Those who are out on bail with their families and are facing various legal actions are troubled with the “Main Bhi Chowkidar” movement. Some people are saying “Chowkidar” is for the rich. These are the same people who looted about 12 lakh crores of poor people. And now they are commenting on this campaign.”

The 2024 elections might seem easy to guess, but there are some important questions that shouldn't be missed.
Do freebies still sway voters? Do people prioritise infrastructure when voting? How will Punjab vote?
The answers to these questions provide great insights into where we, as a country, are headed in the years to come.
Swarajya is starting a project with an aim to do 50 solid ground stories and a smart commentary service on WhatsApp, a one-of-a-kind. We'd love your support during this election season.
