Son of former Finance Minister P Chidambaram, Karti Chidambaram has reached Enforcement Directorate’s (ED) office for questioning in connection with INX Media money laundering case. He arrived at the ED office in Jamnagar House, Central Delhi.
According to officials, Karti Chidambaram was summoned to record his statement under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA).
It has been alleged that Karti Chidambaram received money from INX Media in exchange of wielding his influence to manipulate a tax probe against the latter over violation of Foreign Investment Promotion Board (FIPB) conditions to receive investment from Mauritius, as reported by News 18.
Last year, he was arrested on 28 February by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and was later granted bail.

Swarajya is starting a project with an aim to do 50 solid ground stories and a smart commentary service on WhatsApp, a one-of-a-kind. We'd love your support during this election season.
