As counting of votes continues in Lok Sabha seats across the country, trends show that BJP candidate Giriraj Singh is all set to clinch the constituency of Begusarai in Bihar as he already has a lead of over four lakh votes over Communist Party of India’s (CPI) Kanhaiya Kumar.
In connection with the same, clashes have taken place in the constituency between CPI workers and BJP supporters when the latter were apparently celebrating by bursting fireworks close to the former’s party office.
Kanhaiya’s supporters raised objections over the celebrations and a clash subsequently flared up between the two sides, with each group pelting the other with stones.
Additional security forces have been deployed to parts of the constituency over the flare up in violence.
