Former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) Mehbooba Mufti has termed India as ‘occupation force’ with a Presidential order revoking Article 370 having been notified earlier today (5 August).
She also called the accession of J&K to India as ‘null and void’ and said that PM Modi had betrayed their trust. The PDP leader had earlier served for 2 years as the state’s CM in alliance with the BJP.
The abrogation of Article 370 hasnât just made accession null & void but also reduces India to an occupation force in Jammu and Kashmir. https://t.co/PS6JxYhSaI

She also said that the Kashmir issue has been complicated as it is set to be divided into 2 union territories, Ladakh and J&K.
Today the people of Jammu & Kashmir who reposed their faith in institutions of India like parliament & Supreme Court feel defeated & betrayed. By dismembering the state & fraudulently taking away what is rightfully & legally ours, they have further complicated the Kashmir dispute
