The Aurangabad police has filed a case against a city doctor for a social media post in which he called Tablighi Jamaat chief Maulana Saad a terrorist, Indian Express has reported.
The doctor in question who runs a clinic had posted a photo of Maulana Saad on Facebook with the message, “ Wanted, please inform your local police if you have any input about location of this terrorist”.
The doctor was as a result booked under Section 505 (b)(c) of the Indian Penal Code and detained by the cops.
“Offence was lodged against the doctor by police as preventive action. He was detained and issued notice as per law”, Assistant Police Inspector G B Sonawane was quoted as saying.
Maulana Saad is currently in hiding under the pretext of being in quarantine and was served a second notice by the Delhi police. He is said to be holed up in the house of one of his supporters on the outskirts of Delhi.

The 2024 elections might seem easy to guess, but there are some important questions that shouldn't be missed.
Do freebies still sway voters? Do people prioritise infrastructure when voting? How will Punjab vote?
The answers to these questions provide great insights into where we, as a country, are headed in the years to come.
Swarajya is starting a project with an aim to do 50 solid ground stories and a smart commentary service on WhatsApp, a one-of-a-kind. We'd love your support during this election season.
