A 12-year-old Jewish schoolkid was recently bullied in Melbourne after being forced to kiss the shoes of his Muslim classmate. Despite this incident, the school choose not to take any action action against the accused boys, The Age has reported.

The Jewish student who studies in Class 7 of Cheltenham Secondary College was recorded being swarmed by various boys at a local park as he was forced to knell down and kiss the shoes of the Muslim classmate.

The incident went viral on social media and despite the serious nature of the incident no action was taken by the school. The school and the department reportedly denied taking responsibility as the incident took place at a public park and not on school grounds.

The boy was later assaulted a few days ago in the school locker room and the accused in that matter was suspended by the school for five days. The parents of the Jewish boy were later forced to withdraw him from the school.

In another incident of antisemitism, a 5-year-old boy at Hawthorn West Primary was repeatedly called a “Jewish cockroach” and a “dirty jew”. The school though choose to treat it as an incident of general bullying and not antisemitism.
