With the Supreme Court having cleared the path for building of a grand temple of Lord Ram in the ancient city of Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh (UP) Sunni Central Board of Wakf has decided to meet on 26 November to decide its further course of action, reports Asian News International (ANI).
Wakf's chairperson Zafar Ahmed Farooqui said on Sunday (10 November) that the board will be meeting on 26 November to discuss the future course of action and what is to be done in compliance with the top court's verdict in the Ayodhya case.
Farooqui also indicated that the board is likely to take up a discussion on whether it would accept the five-acre plot at a prominent location in Ayodhya, which the Supreme Court has instructed to be made available for the construction of a mosque.
Farooqui had earlier on Saturday (9 November) that the board welcomed the verdict of the Supreme Court and that the Wakf would not file a review or a curative petition in the top court against the verdict.
