In a setback for Tata Sky customers who use multiple connections for their homes, the DTH operator has announced that it would discontinue its multi-TV packs from 15 June and henceforth bill the users separately for all their connections, Indian Express has reported.

Just recently Tata Sky had announced a variety of benefits for multi-TV subscribers including discounted prices and a greater flexibility in selecting channels. The reason for this decision to discontinue the services has not been conveyed by the DTH operator.

The separate billing would be extended to all the set top boxes currently operated under the multi-TV plan would - come 15 June, be billed separately with no discount on Network Capacity Fee (NCF).

The customers have thus been advised to review their TV plans accordingly and made the changes deemed appropriate.

This decision by Tata Sky may put its competitors like Dish TV, Airtel Digital TV and D2H at an advantage as they continue to offer multi-TV plans at a discount.
