The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has turned down the Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB) invitation to tour Pakistan for a two-match T20 series.
The BCB has also denied the PCB’s offer to compensate them after Bangladesh refused to tour Pakistan due to security concerns.
Confirming the news, BCB’s media and communications committee chairman Jalal Younus said, “the reports were not satisfactory enough due to which we had to pull back.”
With this, Bangladesh becomes the fourth team - after West Indies, Ireland and Sri Lanka - to reject travelling to Pakistan in the last two years.
Pakistan has not hosted any international cricket tournament since the terror attack on the Sri Lankan team bus in Lahore in 2009.

Introducing ElectionsHQ + 50 Ground Reports Project
The 2024 elections might seem easy to guess, but there are some important questions that shouldn't be missed.
Do freebies still sway voters? Do people prioritise infrastructure when voting? How will Punjab vote?
The answers to these questions provide great insights into where we, as a country, are headed in the years to come.
Swarajya is starting a project with an aim to do 50 solid ground stories and a smart commentary service on WhatsApp, a one-of-a-kind. We'd love your support during this election season.
