Battling Covid-19: Israel Announces Unprecedented Cooperation With India, Will Share Breakthrough Technologies

India and Israel have announced an unprecedented cooperation to battle Covid-19 which will involve the latter sharing its breakthrough technologies with India.

In a series of tweets, Israel's Embassy in India said that In the coming weeks, Israel’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Defence and Ministry of Health will lead an unprecedented anti-Covid-19 cooperation between India and Israel.

This will include a special flight from Tel Aviv to New Delhi which will bring breakthrough emerging Israeli technologies for combating Covid-19 which have been donated by Israel.

A team of Israeli R&D researchers will also arrive in New Delhi, who have been working with DRDO scientists to develop a rapid Covid-19 testing kit which will give a result in 30 seconds.

Israel will also transport mechanical ventilators to express its gratitude for India's authorisation to Israel for acquiring medicine, masks and protective gear in the initial stages of the Covid-19 outbreak.
