The BJP Bengal Youth Wing has announced its intention to recite Hanuman Chalisa on roads every Tuesday, till the practice of offering Friday Namaz continues in the same way, India Today has reported.
As per the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) president O P Singh, under Mamata Banerjee’s rule the busy G T Road is blocked every Friday afternoon as Muslims offer Friday Namaz which has resulted in delay for commuters and in some cases, deaths of patients stranded in ambulances.
Singh thus said that, as long as the Friday Namaz gets offered in this manner, his party too would continue to recite Hanuman Chalisa on the streets.
As part of this campaign by the BJYM, Hanuman Chalisa was recited near Bally Khal in Howrah.

Introducing ElectionsHQ + 50 Ground Reports Project
The 2024 elections might seem easy to guess, but there are some important questions that shouldn't be missed.
Do freebies still sway voters? Do people prioritise infrastructure when voting? How will Punjab vote?
The answers to these questions provide great insights into where we, as a country, are headed in the years to come.
Swarajya is starting a project with an aim to do 50 solid ground stories and a smart commentary service on WhatsApp, a one-of-a-kind. We'd love your support during this election season.
