In order to reach their destination on time, more often than not, many motorists break the rules, making it difficult for pedestrians to walk on footpaths. Bengaluru’s Halsoor Traffic Police recorded a video of a person riding his two-wheeler on the footpath and have resorted to social media to create awareness on the issue.
Apart from slapping a fine of Rs 2,500, the rider’s vehicle has been seized by the police, Financial Express has reported.

This is being done to make sure riding on footpaths come to an end. So, next time you find someone flouting the rules, all that’s needed is a video to ensure some discipline.

Introducing ElectionsHQ + 50 Ground Reports Project
The 2024 elections might seem easy to guess, but there are some important questions that shouldn't be missed.
Do freebies still sway voters? Do people prioritise infrastructure when voting? How will Punjab vote?
The answers to these questions provide great insights into where we, as a country, are headed in the years to come.
Swarajya is starting a project with an aim to do 50 solid ground stories and a smart commentary service on WhatsApp, a one-of-a-kind. We'd love your support during this election season.
