Amazon Prime India has added Punjabi movies to its library, expanding its regional content, reports Television Post.
The VOD (Video On Demand) platform will stream the digital premiere of Banjara: The Truck Driver, a recent Punjabi blockbuster, after its theatrical release. Amazon Prime Video will also have three more Punjabi movies- Carry On Jatta 2, Vadhayiyaan Ji Vadhayiyaan and Bailaras.
Amazon India, one of the biggest VoD platforms, currently offers content in Hindi, Marathi, Kannada, Bengali, Tamil and Telugu, apart from English.
In the recently added regional titles, Prime members can stream the movie, Orange, a recent Kannada blockbuster which is a coming-of-age story of friendship; and the Generation Ami, a Bengali film after its theatrical release.
In its recent offerings, Amazon has added the Aamir Khan- Amitabh Bachchan starrer ‘Thugs of Hindostan’, the super hit Varun-Dhawan-Anushka Sharma starrer Sui Dhaaga: Made in India, an American sports comedy film Uncle Drew and Game Night, crime drama Luther, besides Rocky & Bullwinkle.
