Former Uttarakhand CM and senior Congress leader Harish Rawat has reacted to CM Tirath Singh Rawat's resignation. A report on Amar Ujala website says that Harish Rawat has claimed that the two former chief ministers Tirath Singh Rawat and Trivendra Singh Rawat are good men, however, the BJP central leadership has left them on the crossroads.
He added that both chief ministers (referring to former chief minister Trivendra Singh Rawat and former chief minister Tirath Singh Rawat) are good men and the BJP has reduced their situation to a joke.
He added that Tirath Singh Rawat's own statements and BJP's handling of the situation has made it worse. Rawat added that the BJP-led government in the state has given unemployment, a weak economy, has been halting work in the name of development, has given a bad law and order situation and bad reputation to the state owing to controversies related to Covid testing.
Congress leader Pritam Singh has reportedly said that the BJP central leadership has turned Uttarakhand into a laboratory of political experiments.

Introducing ElectionsHQ + 50 Ground Reports Project
The 2024 elections might seem easy to guess, but there are some important questions that shouldn't be missed.
Do freebies still sway voters? Do people prioritise infrastructure when voting? How will Punjab vote?
The answers to these questions provide great insights into where we, as a country, are headed in the years to come.
Swarajya is starting a project with an aim to do 50 solid ground stories and a smart commentary service on WhatsApp, a one-of-a-kind. We'd love your support during this election season.
