As per a report by local media branch of Aaj Tak which was shared by social media users, BJP honoured the youth for his courage amidst applause and chants Of Bharat Mata Ki Jai,
The BJP leaders added that the youth identified as Amit Mali was aware about various issues of national importance despite living in a village. When asked whether the youth would join the BJP, the leaders present there urged him to disregard such thoughts and focus of his work.
The youth was also presented a bouquet by the leaders.
Earlier, it was reported that a youth invited on to the stage by the Congress leader began praising Prime Minister Modi for carrying out surgical strikes to eliminate terrorists.
An angry Digvijaya Singh was then heard scolding the youth and also rhetorically asked whether he had received employment, which the latter seems to have answered in affirmative.
This further infuriated the Congress leaders present there who gestured for him to be thrown out of the rally.
