The Bombay High Court on Wednesday (9 September) provided a big relief to Kangana Ranaut by staying BMC's demolition of her property. The High Court has now asked BMC to stop the demolition work and file a reply on the actor's petition.

This stay order comes after the Shiv Sena led body started a demolition of Kangana's office today morning.
A team of the BMC H-West Ward officers accompanied by a police posse reached the office with bulldozers, JCBs and other heavy equipment and took up the demolition work from the outside.
The development came barely hours after the BMC pasted a notice outside the office rejecting a reply filed by Kangana's lawyer, Rizwan Siddique, to the Tuesday (8 September) notice in which the civic body had listed a series of violations in the ongoing works in her office.
In response to the demolition, Kangana took to twitter to term the demolition team as Babur's army.

Introducing ElectionsHQ + 50 Ground Reports Project
The 2024 elections might seem easy to guess, but there are some important questions that shouldn't be missed.
Do freebies still sway voters? Do people prioritise infrastructure when voting? How will Punjab vote?
The answers to these questions provide great insights into where we, as a country, are headed in the years to come.
Swarajya is starting a project with an aim to do 50 solid ground stories and a smart commentary service on WhatsApp, a one-of-a-kind. We'd love your support during this election season.
