The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) which manages the affairs at the holy temple of Lord Venkateswara in Andhra Pradesh has been gripped in an all-new controversy after it was revealed that a book published under its grant had three pages referring to Jesus Christ and Christianity, reports The News Minute.

As per the index of the book titled 'Bhakti Geethamrutha Lahari', the pages 182, 183 and 184 were supposed to talk about Sai Baba, while in reality, they talked about Jesus Christ. The book has been written by a retired Telugu lecturer from Rajahmundry, Monda Chinna Seetaramayya.

It should be noted that the book was published in 2002 and uploaded on the official website of the TTD as an ebook way back in 2015, but the anomaly in the content seems to have been discovered now.

Following the developments, the executive officer of the TTD, Anil Kumar has said that the book has been taken off the official website of the TTD since the body received complaints about it.

Kumar also emphasised in his press briefing that an investigation will be launched into the issue and it will be ensured that the contents of each book uploaded on the TTD website is thoroughly verified.
