The Government machinery is set to return to work with full force as Prime Minister (PM) Narendra Modi is said to have instructed all his Ministers to resume work in their respective Ministries starting Monday (13 April), reports India Today.

The senior officers of all Ministries of the Government will resume work on Monday, with all the Class two, three and four staff working on a rotational with standard operating procedures of social distancing being deployed in practice.

The development comes as PM Modi held a four-hour long meeting with the chief ministers (CMs) of all states and Union Territories (UTs) yesterday (11 April) to prepare the nation for the future course of lockdown which has been in imposition nationwide since 24 March.

Meanwhile, even though speculations about the extension of the nationwide lockdown remain rife, a few States have gone on to independently announce the extension of the lockdown. These States include Odisha, Punjab, Maharashtra and Karnataka.
